First Year Council
President
The President of First Year Council serves as the leader of the First Year Council and also the President of the Class of 2024. Their duties include, but are not limited to: serving as a representative of the Class of 2024, leading First Year Council meetings, collaborating with constituents on how to address the needs of the Class of 2024, and developing opportunities for leadership and growth across the Class. The President must be able to serve by example, delegate effectively, and practice strong time management. In order to run, the President must already be a member of First Year Council.
First Year Council
Vice-President
The Vice-President of First Year Council serves as second-in-command to the President of FYC, and also serves as the Vice-President of the Class of 2024. Their duties include, but are not limited to: serving as a representative of the Class of 2024, assisting in the leading of First Year Council meetings, enhancing engagement between First Year Council and Association Councils, overseeing the First Year Council budget, and assisting the President in their duties. The Vice-President must be able to serve by example, delegate effectively, and practice strong time management. In order to run, the Vice-President must already be a member of First Year Council.
Student Council
Two First Year Representatives
Description
- Must attend Council meetings each week
- Also serves on at least one Committee which meets one hour each week
- Representatives also hold regularly scheduled office hours in which they can be available to constituents and work on Council business
- Time commitment: minimum of 5 to 6 hours each week (Please do not run if you cannot commit the time)
Student Council
One Transfer Student Representative
Description
